It would be great if as many of you as possible would respondez... Even skim-reading will suffice if you are extra busy or whatever.
A lot of stuff has been on my mind over the last year or so... And its been a long time since I've done anything seriously arty. It's beginning to drag on me.
What I need is some feedback and inspiration.
Something like... you're favourite piece in my entire gallery, or your favourite piece in a few different medias from my gallery (ie. pencil sketch/trad art, photograph, photo manip, poem/lyric[?]...) and the reasons why you like it... whatever I've done that you like... etc.
Or just some general critiquing/commenting on my work.
So a bit of a browse through my gallery would be also appreciated when you can.
Not entirely sure what I'm looking for... Just a little push in a right direction. Or something to that effect...
It's extra hard to be constructive in winter. And I swear my desk hasn't been tidy since Year 12... Oh well... they're all excuses, I say.
I've had a few good ideas. It's just the motivation isn't there ... It makes me sad
All help appreciated much
Cheers all
Marylou

If you want to get together one of those empty days, take our cameras, head into the city and grab some photos, I'm more than happy to.

and sydney is a pretty good place, just gotta know where to go to find some interesting stuff... back roads and stuff, not all the normal things people usually take pics of! but at the same time... architecture in general, especially here, doesn't do all that much for me!
the 3 best pics from a city excursion are the opera house underside (different angle, wouldn't know what the building was and all), the pic of st mary's with the tree in front of it (but other people at school took similar photos, dammit!) and a pic looking up at a tree (simlar angle, if i thinka bout it, to the opera house pic, funnily enough) that i don't think i've uploaded... but OLD pics! >_< they are pics that work well together in a sequence.
thanks for the prompt comment, paul!

Thanks a lot! I enjoyed the HSC work... but it never turned out anything like i'd planned in the beginning. (i forgot I owed you an explanation on that one! maybe one day... lol) I always get really lazy when it comes to paints tho... its so much of an effort to get started. But, again, maybe one day... when my room is tidy enough
Songwriting has been happening more than anything else over the last 6 months... Kate and I had a few good jams in Feb, but since then she's been very busy with uni... Hopefully as she's on break atm we will have time to have one or two! But yeah... its a very slow process with the two of us...
See you on msn sometime? I haven't been on the net at home for ages it feels...

I basically said stuff like this:
I have to clean my room before I can do anything, really, cuz atm i have a buried desk, and it will be harder still to create a floorspace where I could paint (esp. a relatively sizeable canves... that is, relative to the smallness of my room
Yes we have been recording using Garageband (as we're both mac users when we're at home). Sound quality isn't perfect, and Kate has a neighbour who works/ed? for a studio who she's been borrowing a Midi from.. but most of our songs contain content that we'd not want him to hear, otherwise i'm sure we'd organise a recording date with him..
I find the problem I have these days is that I will play something, record it, and not write it down, so there are things I have on my comp atm that I can't remember how to play!
>_> hrm... not so active, perhaps... and yeah
